Script
Fade in - The very first item on the first page should be the transition of the shot fro example fade in. This would be shown in the left alignment.The starting point for any script starts with an edit into the beginning of the scene. Eg.
FADE IN
Scene Heading - This would be a short description of the location and time of day the scene would be set and the writing for this would be all in capitals. A scene heading can also be referred to as a slugline. E.g.
EXT. WRITERS STORE - DAY
Character first appearance - This would show the description of the character, their name, where they work/live/are, what they do for a living, who they are, age and this would all be in CAPTIALS. Eg.
ANOTHONY, Canadian-Italian Story Specialist extraudinaire, 30s and not get any younger, ambles over.
Character - A characters name will always appear above any dialogue they will be saying and their name will be in CAPITALS. Smaller roles of characters will still be listed but they will nothave their 'real' name there will be a description of the person for example 'TAXI DRIVER' or 'CUSTOMER'. Eg.
ANTHONY
Action - The narrative description of the events of the scene and this will be writtin in present tense. Eg.
In the heart of West Los Angeles, a boutique's shop's large OPEN sign glows like a beacon.
Transition - This is a film editing instruction to show how a scene will change or develop and it will usually only be used in shooting scripts. Eg.
DISSOLVE TO
Dialogue - This would be the words each of the character's would be saying. Dialogue format is used even when a character is speaking off screen or a voice over. Eg. How's everyone doin' here?.

INT - Interior
